Rev. Terri Echelbarger is a Pastor with Metropolitan Community Churches, a Queer denomination established in 1968.

The Denomination was very active in the fight for same-sex marriage, as was Rev. Terri. Ordained in 2001, Rev. Terri participated in the yearly Valentines Day protest - asking (and being turned down) for Marriage licenses. 

She performed weddings in February of 2004 at SF City Hall, in 2008 at the San Mateo Clerks office (when the State Recognized Marriage), and many, many other celebrations of love. "I know that the authority of vows rests not in the government's approval but in the authority of the love you share."    

She is comfortable and happy to do Mixed-Faith, no Faith, and Civil Ceremonies.

Bring your own family, cultural, or religious/Faith/Pagan traditions. Rev. Terri is comfortable in large venues of hundreds or four people on the Beach (you, me, a witness), and everything in between.

Terri is married to her beloved Eileen several times – now that it’s truly legal this is no longer required of anyone.
