The M/S Mount Washington has been a Winnipesaukee icon for over a
hundred years. The majestic ship can be seen cruising the crystal
clear waters of Lake Winnipesaukee every day from late May through
late October.
Winnipesaukee (an native American name meaning
beautiful water in a high place) covers 72 square miles and contains
more than 250 habitable islands. It is surrounded by mountain ranges
and mostly spring fed. It is the most beautiful scenic cruise in all
of New England.
Our ports of call include Weirs Beach (the Mount’s
home port), Wolfeboro and Alton Bay. Dining, Dancing, Sunset & Music
on the Lake Enjoy a romantic evening cruising Lake Winnipesaukee

Dinner dance cruises include a
delicious buffet dinner and dancing to live music. Swing to the
tunes of the fabulous '50s; revisit the '60s or get out your
platform dancing shoes for our '70s disco night. Whatever your taste
or favorite era, our popular theme cruises have something for you.
During July and August we offer dinner dance cruises Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Presents Weddings On The Lake
The M/S Mount Washington offers you a
unique and beautiful setting for a wedding. Lake Winnipesaukee's
blue waters and majestic mountain scenery set the mood for a most
memorable wedding experience. You can charter the entire ship or one
of our attractive lounges and our captain can perform the ceremony
if you wish. Your wedding is a very important event and Mount
Washington Cruises awaits the opportunity to help you make wonderful
memories.
Wedding Reception Areas:
- Steamboat Lounge Tastefully
decorated in the Victorian style, the Steamship Lounge is located on
the ship’s lower deck and is ideal for an intimate gathering.
Accommodates up to 75 guests A room rental fee or set up charge may
apply.
- Flagship Lounge With gorgeous panoramic views of Lake
Winnipesaukee, the Flagship Lounge is located on the ship’s second
floor deck. Accommodates up to 125 guests. Room rental fee applies
on all daytime cruises. Minimum 100 guests required for Saturdays
and Sundays. Room rental fee applies Friday & Saturday evening
receptions.
- Full Ship Charter For parties of 125 or more the M/S
Mount Washington is available for charter. Capable of accommodating
500 passengers for sit down dinner and up to 800 passengers for a
reception style event. Charter rates can be obtained by contacting
our sales office.
The Right Vessel For The Occasion
The
Winnipesaukee Fleet consists of three vessels, each with different
configuration options and amenities:
- M/S Mount Washington
The flagship of the fleet is the M/S Mount Washington, a
first-class, 230-ft. excursion ship offering daily scenic cruises
and dinner dance cruises each evening.
- U.S. Mail Boat M/V
Sophie C. The 85 ft. Motor Vessel (M/V) Sophie C., the oldest
floating post office in the United States, is also the only U.S.
Mail Boat on an inland waterway. Each season she provides mail
service on the lake, a tradition dating back to 1892. Both of
Sophie's daily mail runs takes her to 5 islands where her staff
delivers mail to the island residents and summer camps. The Sophie
C.'s amenities include indoor and outdoor seating, soda machine, ice
cream novelties, snacks (cookies, candy, chips, etc.), small Gift
shop, postal services, and a restroom.
- M/V Doris E. If
your whole family or group is visiting the Lakes Region and your
time is limited, the 85 ft. M/V Doris E. provides scenic tours of
the smaller islands adjacent to Weirs Bay. During your one hour
cruise you'll be immersed in the spectacular scenery of the western
end of Lake Winnipesaukee. The Doris E.'s amenities include indoor
and outdoor seating, soda machine, ice cream novelties, snacks
(cookies, candy, chips, etc.), and a restroom.
