There is a story for the origin of every word, and a particularly fascinating one has inspired the name of the Sine Cera Collection.

In ancient Rome, sculptures were highly valued by society's affluent. They often commissioned special works of art to adorn their homes. As in all areas, lesser skilled artisans cut corners by substituting wax for stone.

The most highly regarded work became known in Latin assine cera, "without wax". The term, Sine Cera, has evolved to the word, sincere -- genuine, real, authentic. These are the same qualities we strive to bring to you through our Sine Cera Collection.

All the situations portrayed in the photographs of your event are from situations initiated by the participants. These are real moments of life as it is, rather than as it could be or should be.
