We have a sumptuous restaurant, a beautiful spa, wonderful event space and are draped by 4,000 acres of natural preserve that allow us to hold gatherings of all sizes to create a unique and memorable experience.

No less than fifteen architects have designed 18 individualized cottages that combine the whimsical with the traditional, the modern with the historical. Each has enough surprises to lure and charm without detracting from the views, the surrounding nature and the comforts.

 

Rustic Barn Weddings in Morris, CT at the Versatile Gordon Brown House

Connected to the Smith Ell by a porte-cochere and covered walkway, The Gordon Brown House is the third building that surrounds the entrance courtyard and houses a multipurpose events space comprising a total area of over 4,900 sq. feet (455 sq. meters).

 

The nucleus of this building is comprised of two open halls in what is now a fully restored barn and annex measuring 2,300 sq. feet (215 sq. meters). Weddings, receptions and dining events can be comfortably accommodated. Two exterior patios have the ability to be tented and seamlessly attached to the Gordon Brown House, further extending the space by another 2,000 sq. feet (185 sq. meters). Large tents can also be erected in the meadow. The Gordon Brown House’s multipurpose function space can accommodate anyone’s imagination.

 

Winvian Weekend Weddings - Playtime for Adults

We view Weddings at Winvian as a “Weekend Event”.  Whereby you and your party can come in on Friday and leave on a Sunday. Rehearsal Dinner, Spa, Reception, After Parties, Barbecues, Brunch, Biking, Quiet walks, Lawn Games and much more can all be part of your exclusive stay here. Guests convene exclusively at one place so that family and friends are able to enjoy one another’s company in a relaxed, private atmosphere.
