William
Thirty-eight years ago I was asked to apply my name to the electorate as candidate for Justice of the Peace. After having been selected, I performed services mostly for friends and relatives, gradually I was asked to serve others, as I became repeatedly referred to those who had been present at my ceremonies.
I discovered that I enjoyed being a part of the plans of the most important day of any couple's life. I found that my years of concern that all Brides and Grooms get a custom tailored ceremony that meets their particular needs no matter how big or small their wedding plans are.
I believe with all of the hard work, money and worries that go into planning a wedding that I could be one of those details that people could depend on. Today, I still get most of my wedding ceremony requests from those who have been to one of my services. I am proud to say that I've made a difference in so many couple's wedding plans.
Each wedding ceremony has different emotions attached to it. I have prepared several ceremonies to meet specific needs. I am often initially requested to perform a brief ceremony, however, I am prepared to expand and conform to a format any couple may desire.
A typical ceremony may last from 10 to 25 minutes. It depends on your requirements. I have computerized my complete ceremony and within a few minutes I can customize, personalize, and print your complete program for editing. This now becomes helpful for your own editing via email.
In Connecticut, LGBT Marriages are now accepted. I embrace this opportunity to expand this union of love to all. I also provide you with a completed commemorative ceremony on your wedding day.
The wedding sites that I have performed at remains one of the more fun parts of this profession. By having a civil ceremony, you can do whatever pleases you. There are no rules, other than that you apply for your marriage license at a local Town Clerk and declare the town where you are being married! Most often these weddings are held at churches, catering facilities, or restaurants. A service, however, may be held at a park, a home or under a lovely tree, or wherever your hearts feel most comfortable.
I have found that those in the back cannot hear many outdoor wedding ceremonies. I like to recommend that I utilize a speaker system. The catering facility or your DJ may have this equipment, if not, I have a portable capability to broadcast the ceremony as well as to play music. There is no extra charge; I just think it gives a better feeling for all to be a part of it.
Please schedule your wedding plans with me as soon as you know them. I'd like to have enough time to discuss whatever details you may request, and have plenty of time for follow-up. (If it's an emergency quick date, I can react rather rapidly.) Clearly there are times of the year that are more popular than others. You probably need to know that all Justices of the Peace may not marry people. I have been quite busy lately and need to plan ahead. I am flexible and do not charge for cancellations things happen!
I used to do this for nothing, because I like it so much, however, now I travel all over CT and need to keep up with my expenses and value. I am using any money I earn to pay for my daughter's wedding someday!
