- Becoming A Justice of the Peace Was One of the Best Things That has Happened to Me in the Last Decade

Although initially, I agreed to it to be able to swear my husband onto the City Council, I have continued to be a JP because I love performing weddings.

No wedding is too small or too eccentric. I have hiked through the woods to a lake to perform a quiet ceremony. I have sat at a kitchen table for a family ceremony surrounded by children with popsicles. I have been privileged to conduct a double Valentine's Day ceremony for 4 best friends, a straight couple and a lesbian couple.

I invest time and effort in assisting each couple in finding the right way to say "I love you forever and we are meant to be together."

Professional Affiliations & Public Speaking

Professionally, I am a member of the Justice of the Peace Association. I am listed on the JPUS.org and findaJP.com websites, was an active advocate with Love Makes a Family and of course, I'm listed on the City of Bristol's list of Justices of the Peace. I have spoken and led workshops on performing Same-Sex ceremonies and also on interfaith and multicultural ceremonies.
