I believe all Justices of the Peace will do a good job performing weddings. So, why choose me? I have been told that I happen to have an extra touch of warmth, humor, and sensitivity that makes your special day...well, extra special.
My love for performing weddings seems to permeate every ceremony. Plus, I get to be the first person to give kisses after their first kiss as a married couple!
I would recommend you meet with me before you choose a Justice of the Peace...at that time I can give you some ideas that work so well at ceremonies I have performed. You have to feel comfortable with your JP...and that's part of my job. I will also show you "thank you" notes from folks whose wedding I performed. I guess they say it all...the best kind of testimonial.
If you do choose me, I will write your ceremony and you will get a draft, which you may change at any time. I believe there shouldn't be any surprises on your special day.
I will also give you a lovely marriage certificate with hand calligraphy. Do you want to get married on the spur of the moment? No problem...they can be the most fun. I can find "instant" no charge venues for you as well.
I have been involved in gay rights issues for the better part of twenty years. From a rally at the State Capital in Hartford, where the theme was "Silence Equals Death," to raise AIDS awareness, to getting folks to visit the AIDS quilt project when it was at Norwalk Community Collegeā¦I was there.
I am a letter writer, and when I see discrimination raise its ugly head, I will, and do, speak out. I love bumper stickers! I performed one of the first Civil Unions in Connecticut, and was at the news conference in Hartford when gay marriage became legal in our state.
