Sit and relax on our 3 acre wooded grounds, with stream, pond and informal flower gardens among the maples, pines and birch trees. Our inn is situated in West Dover, southern Vermont a little over a mile south of Mount Snow, the closest large mountain ski-area to the larger cities in New England.

The journey time from New York City (4 hrs) and Boston Metro (3 hrs) makes the inn a reachable destination either just overnight, or for short breaks. Specific driving directions are available on our directions page.

Centered in the Green Mountains of Vermont the options for touring the area are endless, from kayaking our lakes and rivers through fishing, mountain biking, hiking, leaf peeping, to just relaxing or antiquing.

For every season there is an adventure to enjoy in the clean & fresh air of the Green Mountains, whether your passion be winter sport, relaxing while fishing Lake Whitingham or playing 18 holes at either Mount Snow or Haystack golf courses. Concierge on site to assist in your planning.

Southern Vermont is also best for doing absolutely nothing at all! Sit and read to your heart's content on a secluded balcony overlooking our wooded garden. No one will bother you!

Every morning wake to the smell of freshly cooked Vermont Country breakfast, served in our garden side breakfast room. After fresh baked blueberry muffins, seasonal fresh fruit and a selection of teas & coffee, choose from a variety of cooked entrees including Snow Goose Bacon seasoned in house, Panini French Toast, blueberry buttermilk pancakes or our signature, healthy Snow Goose Benedict.

In the afternoons we serve complimentary wine and Vermont cheddar, either fireside in winter or on the deck overlooking the gardens in summer and fall.

Southern Vermont LGBT Wedding Package

Two nights in our tree-top Snow Goose Suite, breakfast in your room each morning (same one as in the dining room), champagne and hand-dipped chocolate strawberries on arrival, and two, white plush terrycloth robes to take home as a memento or your stay. We do need two weeks advance reservation for this package.

Same-Sex Elopement in Vermont

Eloping? Owner and Innkeeper, Cyndee Frere, is a Vermont Justice of the Peace and would be happy to marry you at the inn. Vermont has no wait time for a license, simply visit our Town Hall, Monday through Friday, 9 am-4 pm, get your license and we will take care of your ceremony as part of your stay.

Golf and Stay at the Snow Goose
