Professional Photographer Paul Nash

I feel lucky that I am able to be part of capturing important moments in people’s lives. I probably learned more about photography while working as a family therapist which offered me a chance to see people as they really are. Being able to bring out the true person in a photograph continues to challenge and excite me.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to have been part of approximately 2500 weddings both as a photographer, and an entertainer. My love of music has landed me photo sessions with Jazz Legends, such as Grammy Award Winner Jon Hendricks, Dave Brubeck and Louis Armstrong's Publicist, Phoebe Jacobs. I am also lucky to share my life with my wife of 25 years, Laurie, who owns and operates a large dance school in Ellington. Her 500 students are often part of my photo shoots, and they have taught me a great deal about making photography fun. Paul Nash Photography is set up to do both studio and on location shooting. We are able to photograph large venues yet we also enjoy intimate portrait sessions in our studio.

As a member of the Professional Photographers of America, the Connecticut Professional Photographers’ Association  and the Professional Photographers' Association of New England, I am constantly  improving ways to communicate my work in a unique perspective, with dramatic vision and style. Nothing brings me more joy than to see one of my photos hanging on a wall or being enjoyed in an album.
