One of our favorite vendors on EnGayged Weddings is Candi, from Candi’s Floral creations. Candi was the floral designer who worked very closely with Andrew andJeremy to create the floral decorations and table settings. Jamrock- You played a big role in putting this whole wedding together. What can you tell me about the process of making this all come together? Candi- Oh wow, I have to put my mind back to that time. When I first spoke to Andrew andJeremy I didn’t know what they were talking about, I didn’t get it. All I knew is they wanted a sort of vintage Americana look. After about a 2 hour conversation I got it. Andrew andJeremy found all these wonderful items and I organized them first and decided what should go with what and the great thing was they gave me creative freedom and I loved the challenge. Jamrock- What are some of your favorite tables? Candi -I loved the “Beauty Table” where I made the base look like real hair. I also liked the “Music Table” I used Crespia Balls to look like Disco mirror balls. Jamrock- I asked Andrew and Jeremy what their favorite tables were and Andrew said the Car table and Jeremy said the food table which I guess was formally called the “Bakers Table”. Tell me about those. Candi - The Car table was great it had like 25 different cars and trucks with a dump truck in the center where I took dirt and put it in the back of the truck with the flower arrangements and the sprinkled dirt on the table to make it look more realistic. The Bakers Table was a lot of fun to do because Andrew and Jeremy found the Easy Bake Oven, but I added a bunch of little surprises, like the cherry pies and fruits. I also added a rainbow colored birthday candle # 8 for the table number. I also liked the Money Table where we had a price tag that read $6.13 which was the date of the wedding, but by far the most creative table was the Photography table. That is where I had to be the most creative. I used wheat grass for the base and we used Polaroid cameras slide projector slides, film negatives and all those things when it came together it almost came alive. Jamrock- How was it working with Andrew and Jeremy? Candi- We were a really good fit. I let them be creative and just let them go. Most vendors don’t do that. They had a vision for their wedding and I wanted to make it even better for them. They were awesome to work with. I enjoyed every moment of it. Jamrock- What was your reaction when you found out you were going to be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings? Candi- Excited. Very, very, excited. I don’t know how else to put it. I did think people were pulling my leg. It felt great to be recognized. Jamrock- Candi, I thank you for your time and keep up the amazing work. Candi- Thank you.
