Celebrating 100 years of dancing, Arthur Murray International, corporation welcomes The Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich to the family. Conveniently located a 6 Lewis Street, in downtown Greenwich, the studio has been completely redecorated in the Regency period style and is truly a grand ballroom.

From it's beautiful reception area, to it's lovely, and always stocked with refreshments, waiting room and full kitchen, they are prepared to make all students and visitors alike comfortable in its spectacular club-like atmosphere. Under the new ownership and management of Christine Georgopulo, a corporate real estate development veteran turned competitive dancer, and now studio President, the Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich welcomes one and all to come visit, and share its love of dance.

Basic/ Newcomer/ Introductory Dance Program

This program of dance instruction is designed to develop a foundation in 2 to 4 dances, with enough variety to keep your learning experience interesting. Emphasis of the dance lessons is placed on the three most important elements of dancing: basic step patterns, timing, and leading or following.

Associate Bronze Dance Program

This is the program for the dancer who wants to move easily on the dance floor. It will help you learn to move freely around the floor, expanding variety, good technique and footwork, and it will introduce you to styling. This dance program is very popular with the person who wants to get on the floor immediately. At the completion of each level, you will be checked by an Arthur Murray examiner.

Full Bronze Dance Program

Bronze is the full Social Standard. Your dance instructors have designed it to develop timing and technique in all social dances. This level will help you look attractive and feel comfortable on the floor. It will strengthen your leading or following to the point that, regardless of your partner, the kind of music, or the type of dance floor, you will look poised and comfortable with all the popular social dances and their many variations. It will give you all the confidence you will ever need on the dance floor. With this program, dancing knowledge will be yours to keep, as you will always remember the elements of each dance. It is the gratifying point in dancing when you only have to think about enjoying your partner and having fun.

Silver Dance Program

Silver is a dance standard with a high degree of styling, which helps in demonstrating individualized character. Using flashy movements makes dancers at this level stand out on the dance floor. Technique is also important in developing continuity of movement; this helps couples glide around the dance floor with many changes in direction. People definitely notice a Silver Dancer on a crowded floor.

Gold Dance Program

Our Gold standard is for the stars! This is the level for the social or the exhibition dancer. Its intricate patterns are to be used only when both people really know what they are doing. Choreography, styling, technique, and showmanship are necessities in this standard. It should not be used on a crowded dance floor. The dancer's smoothness and control make this a beautiful program for audiences. You must be prepared to work if excelling on this level is your goal. Upon reaching that goal, you will truly be regarded as an outstanding performer of every dance!
